OZIER MUHAMMAD
Ozier Muhammad is a staff photographer at the New York Times, where he has worked since 1992. In 1985, Muhammad shared the Pulitzer Prize in International Reporting with Josh Friedman and Dennis Bell for a series of reports titled “Africa, The Desperate Continent,” for Newsday. For that report, Muhammad also won the Polk Award in News Photography. He was a Knight Journalism fellow at Stanford University in 1986-87, and has also worked for Ebony and the Charlotte Observer.
