TOM MERRIMAN

Tom Merriman is an investigative reporter with the WJW Fox 8 I-Team in his hometown of Cleveland. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Merriman served as Deputy Ohio Attorney General in charge of the Cleveland office, and then launched a second career as an investigative journalist in 1995. He won the 2006 Alfred I. DuPont –Columbia University Award, the I.R.E. Medal from Investigative Reporters & Editors Inc, four National Headliner Awards, and twenty-seven regional Emmy Awards. The Society of Professional Journalists recently named Merriman the best reporter in Ohio for the fourth time. He is also a 2006 Ethics Fellow at the Poynter Institute.
