C-SPAN Classroom

C-SPAN Classroom offers free resources to enhance the teaching of Civics and U.S. Government. Members of C-SPAN Classroom will find short video clips of C-SPAN public affairs programming linked to national standards, along with discussion questions and support materials such as downloadable worksheets. Members of C-SPAN Classroom are also eligible for fellowship and grant opportunities. To enroll in our free service for educators, visit

C-SPAN Classroom Resources

  • C-SPAN Classroom U.S. Constitution Video ClipsView C-SPAN video clips related to the U.S. Constitution, under the categories Key Concepts (including separation of powers and checks and balances), Bill of Rights and Amendments. Teachers can also access discussion questions and worksheets related to many of the clips.
  • Interview with Chief Justice John Roberts on the U.S. ConstitutionChief Justice John Roberts discusses the role of the Constitution in American politics. Justice Roberts answered questions on the meaning of the Constitution, the role of the framers, and the evolution of the Supreme Court. The interview continues with Justice Roberts commenting on the importance of reading the Constitution and the Federalist Papers. Justice Roberts shares his view of the role of the courts in a democratic society.
