Street Law

Street Law is practical, participatory education about law, democracy, and human rights. A unique blend of content and methodology, Street Law uses techniques that promote cooperative learning, critical thinking, and the ability to participate in a democratic society. For 30 years, Street Law, Inc.'s programs and curricula have promoted knowledge of legal rights and responsibilities, engagement in the democratic process, and belief in the rule of law, among both youth and adults.

It provides a practical, meaningful understanding of the law that helps high school students live more successfully in our law-oriented society. Published by Glencoe/McGraw-Hill and in its 7th Edition, Street Law is used in classrooms in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Ancillary materials include transparencies, teacher's manual (text and CD-ROM), testmaker CD-ROM, student workbook, and student scenes video.   • Supreme Court Institutes and SeminarsCo-sponsored by Street Law, Inc. and the Supreme Court Historical Society, the Supreme Court Institutes and Seminars train some of the best law, government and social studies teachers in the country to better teach about the U.S. Supreme Court. The Institutes and Seminars are designed to help teachers grow professionally by deepening their knowledge about the Supreme Court and learning innovative teaching methods to help students master standards-based content related to the Court and its cases.
