Close Up Foundation
The Close Up Foundation is the nation's largest nonprofit (501(c)(3)), nonpartisan citizenship education organization. Since its founding in 1970, Close Up has worked to promote responsible and informed participation in the democratic process through a variety of educational programs. Each year, more than 20,000 students, teachers, and other adults take part in Close Up's programs in Washington, D.C. Since the inception of its Washington-based programs in 1971, the Close Up Foundation has welcomed nearly 650,000 students, educators, and other adults to the nation's capital.

- Lesson Plans for Constitution Day — These activities are based on Close Up Publishing's award-winning book The Bill of Rights: A User's Guide; These lessons correspond to the book's first chapter, "The Birth of the Bill of Rights," and in particular, the section called "The Idea of Rights."
- The Bill of Rights Video Series — This brand new documentary available in VHS and DVD explores constiutional issues.
- The Bill of Rights- A User's Guide, 4th edition — This new edition of The Bill of Rights: A User's Guide explores our Constitution's first ten amendments and their resilience through time. This award winning text includes historical background or each of the amendments and the rights granted therein along with a study of the Fourteenth Amendment, focusing on the concepts of due process and equal protection.
